Great news!
Our club has been chosen to host the

2024 Scottish Terrier national rotating specialty show.

The show brings folks and their dogs from around the country and Canada. It will be a wonderful weekend of beautiful dogs, fun events and socializing. We have activities planned for all our Scottie’s, show dogs and couch dogs many of us have a few of these) and a special rescue parade.

There will be lots to do, jobs big and small, but for now let’s just look forward to an Olympic caliber event!

More information will be posted as it become available.

                  WELCOME OUR NEW MEMBERS!

A Fun Time Was Had by All at the Deland Mardi Gras Dog Parade!

The annual Deland Dog Parade was held on February 18. It was an awesome event that celebrated the love of dogs, and it’s no surprise that many STCTB members participated! We were asked to join in with our fellow Scottie aficionados from Scottish Terrier Rescue of Florida and Scotties Rock. I am very proud that our club partners with other organizations and that we support each other. Strengthening our bonds ensures a better future for our breed.

Many thanks go to Diane Goodreau for her time and attention to detail as she organized our entry. She even provided kilts for dogs that came without one to add the appropriate panache! Diane also arranged for a bagpiper to march with us—the icing on the cake! Participants donated to cover the cost, and that elevated our entry another notch.

It was a beautiful day, and a great way to get our breed out in the community. Along with that the camaraderie I felt really added to my feeling that it was a day well spent and full of joy. Thanks to everyone for coming out!

If you missed it and think you might want to give it a go we are planning an entry for the Dunedin Highland Games Parade on March 31. You just can’t stop grinning as the crowds respond to our big dogs in their little bodies. Hope to see you there!
