2017 STCTB Specialty Show
Friday, December 15, 2017 (Orlando, Florida)
Our 2017 theme is "Ready to Em-Bark!"
Check back for exciting world traveler "embarking" updates
as they become available!
STCTB is proud to help support a young junior handler who loves Scotties,
Nick Corsberg. .Many of you have seen 9-year old Nick and his Scottie girl Cera (Brookstone’s Serenity Firefly) at shows in recent months. They are an adorable- and successful- team, having already earned 5 points (including one major) toward Cera's AKC championship.
Nick recently received his official AKC junior handler number and pin, which he proudly displays. Nick and Cera are mentored by Jene Anderson and Sheila-Faith Barry, and Nick's parents (Christine and Jason Corsberg)
are STCTB members
Nick and Cera were featured in a recent article in our STCTB newsletter. Click here to read:Nick and Cera's Story
Scottish Terriers are a difficult breed for junior handlers to groom, train and show. (We all know why!) Nick has shown exemplary dedication to mastering the skills needed and is a delight to watch in the ring.
We had a howling good time with 55 people, and 36 dogs attending our family event on a beautiful fall day at Hillsborough River State Park!
Everyone enjoyed a scrumptious BBQ and pot-luck luncheon, Scottie-themed boutique sales, an introduction to barn hunt and agility, and the annual Scottie Halloween costume parade.
It's time to renew
and pay your dues!

This is your platform to contribute in a positive way at our Specialty celebrating our beloved breed.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening with 27 Scottie-loving friends. at our annual dinner and awards event. Scottie treasurers were claimed from the sales boutique, several members received awards for new championships earned in 2015, prizes were collected, and raffle tickets sold for a chance to win a beautiful hand-made Scottie quilt- to benefit canine bladder cancer research at Purdue University. Thank you to everyone who attended! We enjoyed meeting everyone- and hope to see you again soon at another STCTB activity.
Our 2017 "Spring Fling" was a wonderful success- and oodles of fun! Held at lovely Magnolia Park in Apopka, Florida the Fling was attended by 47 people and 45 well-behaved Scottish Terriers. It was a sunny, very hot day- but a good time was enjoyed by all. Our Scottie lovers included those with companion Scott's, show dogs and champions, Scottish Terrier Rescue of Florida friends, and agility and obedience fans.
The event included lunch, games and prizes, and wonderful opportunity to admire the many Scots, catch up with old friends... and make new friends. Adding to the fun was a round of introductions, a brief club update by STCTB President Laurie Slater and an interesting game of "pin the tail on the Scotty"! Thanks to everyone who helped to plan the event- and to all who participated.
2016 Specialty Show and Sweepstakes
"A Very Scottie Holly-Day"
December 16, 2016 Orlando, Florida
Our 2016 Specialty Show and Sweepstakes was very well attended, and many beautiful Scotties were presented! In the Sweepstakes there were a total of 10 entries for judging by Jacki Herron Forkel. Best of Sweepstakes was won by Anstamm Tansy Takes Off (Anstamm Kennels). Judge William deVilleneuve evaluated 36 Scotties in Specialty classes, and gave the Best of Breed nod to GCH. Kelwyn's Warrior Princess CA (Kelli Edell). A large gallery enjoyed the judging, and many STCTB members were present to help out.
Our newly-redesigned breed booth display for the AKC National Championship dog show that weekend was very well received- and even won an booth award in the Terrier Group for creative design.

We enjoyed reconnecting with previous Scottie friends, and making new Scottie friends too! The 28 people who attended enjoyed talking about Scotties, purchasing items from the Scottie boutique and silent auction, snapping up raffle tickets for a chance to win the Radley luggage, and congratulating our 2016 award winners . We also said "thank you" to our outgoing STCTB President, Laurie Slater and welcomed aboard incoming STCTB President, Bridget Bower.
We've posted a few photos from the annual dinner below.
